Now Offering Choice in Stall Angle

We now are offering a choice in stall angle in our Wolf Creek and Northwestern Pacific series of roundhouse kits. Choose from 8, 9, 10 or 11 degrees angles between stalls.

Wolf Creek Roundhouse:
70' & 114' versions 2-35 stalls

The Wolf Creek Roundhouse can be ordered with any quantity of stalls within reason in HO, S or O scales. It accomodates standard & narrow gauge track. Two stall depths are available, 70' or 114', and the kit is available with any numer of stalls from 2 to 35. Each roundhouse kit is done individually to order. The included foundation has trackways cut to width & depth to exactly accomodate each customer's track width & height. Kits sold in hobby shops have the trackways cut to standard gauge width and to the depth of the tallest track code, but may be modified to accomodate shorter or narrower track by means of shims & spacers. Both the roundhouse & machine shop may be built free-standing, or with pass-through portals if built side-by-side as in the photos. Inspection pits are located to your specification, normally in the stall or stalls adjacent to the machine shop.

In railroading nothing is more iconic, more to the heart of railroading than the steam locomotive. Among structures pertaining to railroading, that spirit is exemplifide by the roundhouse. The radial archetecture is like no other, and few other railroad structures approach their size.
That said, nothing on your model railroad will be more of a focal point than your roundhouse and turntable. Here is where your crafsmanship and detail should be at its finest.
This Andersen Model Kit provides the means to do just that. The rustic structure with its wood siding, 20 truss assemblies, and ribbed metal roofing captures that spirit of the time, when form was determined by function. The open front and interior lighting shows off your stable of locomotives, and the complete interior detail kit draws the viewer in, noticing the heavy beam supports & NBWs throughout.
The adjacent machine shop is also open on the front to view the marvelous The optional Scale Structures Ltd. Lathe, Mill, Drill Press, Wheel Grinder & Overhead Belt Drive System as well as the two truss support assemblies overhead. The corrugated metal siding and roofing is spot on. The 150 HP Stationary Steam
Engine, Boiler, Pump, Piping & Wheel Hoist complete the outside scene.
